This release reveals the joy of warmer vintage Eden Valley Riesling, where stone fruit juiciness and gentle acidity seduce the gums. Purists might recognise the superior aging potential of those more austere La Niña vintages, but such wines remain stubbornly coiled up and acid-driven for the first few years. After 2021, 2022 and 2023, it’s a real pleasure to see a newly released Riesling characterised by drinkability and moreishness.

On the nose are bursts of lime pith, freshly cut nectarine flesh, orange blossom water and kaffir lime leaves. There are also hints of Geraldton Wax flowers, bath-salts and freshly powdered decolletage.

Citrus, stone fruit and honeydew melon. The sharp acidic edges have been absorbed into a waxy, mouth-filling texture. Delicate green herbal notes of freshly picked chervil and lemon thyme conspire with wet slate and tidal pool salinity to ensure that this is a wine that intrigues all those who partake.
