Start your trail with us at Otherness. More than a cellar door, Otherness celebrates slow food, creativity, and community. Come for a tasting of small-batch wines from our own label — crafted in collaboration with South Australia’s most expressive winemakers — or linger longer with lunch or dinner.
Our kitchen menu changes frequently, guided by the season and whatever inspires the team. With its warm hospitality, intimate tastings, and thoughtful connection to place, Otherness is where your Barossa story begins.

Where to Eat and Drink
Barossa Valley Cheese Co.
This is a must-visit for cheese lovers. Sample handcrafted artisan cheeses and stock up on picnic supplies. Pair with a local wine and head to a nearby park for a casual lunch outdoors.

Casa Carboni, Angaston
This Italian enoteca and cooking school is a slice of northern Italy in the Barossa. Expect handmade pasta, rich ragù, Italian aperitivo, and a cellar stocked with regional wines.

COCO Kitchen, Angaston
Angaston’s newest venue, COCO Kitchen opened in August 2024 and has quickly become a favourite for breakfast, brunch and lunch. One half of the husband-and-wife duo, Jamie Wall, is a familiar face within the Barossa food scene, taking on the role of Head Chef at Appellation and Executive Chef at Harvest Kitchen before opening COCO Kitchen. The pair showcase seasonal dishes and artisanal coffee, with the overall experience combining warmth and energy, making it a perfect spot for casual gatherings or a quick bite.
